Nutritional treasures in a small package, seasonal berries are one of nature's wonders

Berries are one of my addictions ( probably the best one I have!). We are so used to seeing them all year round that we forget they are a summer fruit and at their very best in the hottest months.
Their nutritional profile is impressive with a low calorific content, they are rich in vitamin C and manganese among other vitamins
Recipes

Apart from vibrant smoothies, what is your favourite berry recipe? I am a big fan of making my own jams, which is incredibly easy and much cheaper than the store bought ones.

Start by cutting fresh fruit ( or use frozen ones if you have some in the freezer) in a small pot.
Add a small amount of water ( it shouldnt cover the fruit) and stir slowly
Keep stirring and make sure it doesnt get stuck to the bottom of the pan/pot ( it has happened more than once, trust!)
Voila! Jam at the ready!
Try using different spices to your berry mixtures. I have included some of my favourites below and I will make a reel or video to show them in more detail.
Strawberry and basil
Blackberry cardamom
Blueberry and vanilla.
